The Stress, Trauma, and Resilience (STAR) Seminar Series brings together experts in the field of child and family trauma to discuss important topics related to prevention science, family intervention, best practices, and cutting-edge research. 

In this month's seminar, Dr. Sung-Jae Lee will offer a comprehensive overview of biomedical HIV prevention strategies geared toward ending the HIV epidemic. The focus will be on delineating two overarching frameworks for implementing these strategies of a syndemics framework and status neutral approach, while also delving into key considerations such as accessibility, acceptability, and scalability. The integration of these strategies within existing healthcare systems will be thoroughly examined, stressing the importance of seamless coordination to enhance their impact. Additionally, the critical role of community engagement, education, and advocacy in promoting acceptance and utilization of biomedical HIV prevention methods will be underscored. By the conclusion, attendees will possess a nuanced understanding of the latest advancements, the challenges of implementation, and the strategic approaches essential for effective biomedical HIV prevention, ultimately contributing to the goal of ending the HIV epidemic.
