Medical Student Study Space 

The following locations are available for medical students to study 24/7, when not occupied:

• Geffen Hall - Case Style Rooms 148 and 150, and the Garry Shandling Learning Studio (B36)
• Geffen Hall - 25 Small Group Classrooms on Levels B, A and 1
• 1P-151 CHS - Dept. of Pathology
• 13-070 CHS - Medical and Dental Student Study Lounge, AKA The Fish Bowl
• Various Spaces in the Biomedical Library (Note: not all library spaces are open 24 hours)
  • Biomedical Study Commons - Access & Policies (Open 24 hours - Formerly known as the Graduate Reading Room)
  • Group Study Rooms in libraries across campus may be reserved here.

Please Note: 

• Bruincards are required at all times for access to any study locations on campus.  Please be prepared to show your Bruincard to library staff and/or building security.
• Use of these spaces will automatically be provisioned to all DGSOM medical students upon matriculation via your Bruincard. If you encounter any issues with accessing the space, please email dgsomsao@mednet.ucla.edu. 
• If you experience any emergent access issues or security concerns, please call UCLA Health Security at (310) 267-7100, and an officer can be dispatched to assist.
• For urgent Facilities issues that may impact health and safety, please call the Facilities Management 24/7 Trouble Call Desk at (310) 825-9236.
