Application packets must be complete at the time of submission (including letters of recommendation), as the Advisory Committee will begin reviewing applications immediately.

The applicant's Statement of Purpose (for incoming students) or Statement of Research Interest (for continuing UCLA graduate students) does not have a set length but should clearly and concisely reflect the applicant's research interest and work in genomic analysis. Statement should include a discussion of why this program would be a good fit for the applicant.
The applicant must be a US citizen or permanent resident to receive an award. Proof of status is required if born outside of the US.

Applicant’s Description of Scientific Interests:

Letters of Recommendation:
For incoming students: at least three Letters of Recommendation from your Graduate Application (from the Student Affairs Officer of the Department you applied to, sent to Issa Lutfi at email@example.com)
For continuing UCLA graduate students: one Letter from your Faculty Research Advisor is required; additional letters are optional. If you do not yet have a Research Advisor, this may be the PI of one of your rotation labs. Letters should be emailed by your Advisor to Issa Lutfi at firstname.lastname@example.org. It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that the letter of recommendation is received by the application deadline.
