Sleep study

The UCLA Center for Women’s Pelvic Health is researching the relationship between sleep patterns and night time urination patterns. You may be eligible if you:

  • Are between the ages of 18 and 80
  • Have a smart phone
  • Do not have any sleep, lung, or heart conditions AND
    • Have no bladder history and get up to urinate 0-1 times per night, on average OR
    • Have overactive bladder and get up to urinate 2+ times per night, on average

Participation in this study involves:

  • One in-person screening visit
  • Wearing a fitness tracker (WHOOP 4.0) to track your sleep at home for two weeks
  • Tracking your fluid consumption and urination patterns for two weeks
  • Drinking more water before bedtime If you do not get up at night to urinate
